Several weeks ago while running errands near the office I noticed a nice crushed granite walking trail around the local golf course. The trek from the office down to the golf course, running around the golf course, and then double backing back to the office is right around 6 kilometers so it’s a bit of a stretch for me to complete the run within my lunch break hour. It is so nice to run on crushed granite versus asphalt and concrete though, plus there are a few great hills here too, however there is very little shade over the trail making it a heat stroke nightmare in Central Texas. I’ve decided to make this course my “long” run once a week. When the temps get cooler I can run this more frequently.
